listed here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for small
disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns that
meet this criteria who wish to be considered in accordance with Public
Law and Federal Acquisition Regulations should, as early as possible
but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the
acquisition by providing to Contracting Officer evidence of capability
to perform (including references for similar work with points of
contact, telephone number and contract number), letter from bonding
company certifying maximum level of bonding for the proposed project,
affirmative statement requesting set-aside action and intent to bid,
and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and
economically disadvantaged business concern. Even if you have sent
evidence of SDB eligibility on a prior solicitation, you must submit
documentation that will become a part of this solicitation file. If
adequate interest is not recieved from SDB concerns, within fifteen
days of this notice, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted
without further notice. Funds are not presently available for this
contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent
upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for
contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the
Goverment for any payment may arise until funds are made available to
the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor
recieve notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the
Contracting Officer. The work includes furnishing all labor, material
and equipment as required for the renovation of Quarters V. Removals
shall include but not limited to all existing windows, exterior
aluminum soffit, aluminum fascia and aluminum siding. Removals on the
interior of the building will include existing carpeting and padding,
vinyl tile flooring, gypsum covered wood stud walls to reconfigure
three existing bedrooms and one bath into two bedrooms and a relocated
bath and bathroom fixtures all located on the second floor of the
building; remove the existing electrical system on the second floor
including the circuiting to the panelboard located in the basement,
remove light fixtures, receptacles and other miscellaneous wiring on
the second floor; remove existing plumbing and HVAC air ducts located
in existing wall being relocated and in other walls as required. New
work will include gypsum board covered wood stud walls to provide new
bedroom layouts, closets, bathroom, wood doors and frames, door
hardware, wood baseboard, wood trim, windows either in old location or
at a relocated location, painting, tub/shower, vanity, countertop and
sink, toliet, ceramic tile wainscot and sheet vinyl flooring in the
bathroom, new carpet and padding in the bedrooms and hallway on the
second floor; provide new circuiting from the panelboard in the
basement to light fixtures and receptacles on the second floor; provide
telephone receptacles for each bedroom; new plumbing piping, HVAC duct
work, grilles and bathroom ventilation. The exterior of the quarters
will be provided with new insulation board, vinyl siding, vinyl soffit
and vinyl/aluminum fascia. In addition to the work listed above, and
existing one car garage, consisting of wood frame construction with
concrete floor and concrete/block foundation shall be completely
demolished and removed. The existing bituminous driveway and base shall
be removed and replaced with a new bituminous driveway with stone base
for a new two car garage. Electrical equipment shall be removed from
the existing garage back to the panelboard in the basement. New from
the existing garage back to the panelboard in the basement. New
construction shall consist of concrete footings, concrete block
foundation, concrete floor, wood stud walls, windows, personnel door,
two electrically operated overhead garage doors, electric circuits for
lighting and receptacles, painted qypsum board on the interior walls
and ceiling, vinyl soffit, aluminum gutter and downspouts, vinyl siding
on the exterior and painting. Estimated price range: Between $25,000
and $100,000. Number of days in contract: 90. Number of bid items: One
