Officer (810) 307-5989 Provide all plant, labor, material, equipment,
appliance and supervision necessary for construction of Project
VGLZ940024, ``Revitalization of General Training Facility (Building
350)''. Work to consist of complete renovation (approximately 12,000 sq
(ft) of a two story facility to accommodate the requirements of a
Reserve Forces General Training Support Unit (Security Police Squadron)
and a Civil Engineering Disaster Preparedness Unit. Work includes, but
is not limited to, the removal and reconstruction of the 2nd floor
(entire building), HVAC system, demolition of the men's latrine/shower
building extension, coal pit and the exterior fire escape. Interior
and exterior painting, wall covering, and removal of paint on
entranceway stone work to return it to its original appearance. Repair
audio-video room and auditorium stage. Replace concrete floor that has
settled, suspended panel ceiling systems, light fixtures, floor
covernig, windows, door (interior/exterior), overhead rolling door,
stairway and auditorium seats. Renovate boat well. Upgrade mechanical
(heating/plumbing), install air conditioning system with ventilation.
Upgrade electrical system. Provide exterior security lighting. Upgrade
site, replace old concrete walk, landscaping and replace steps to
mechanical room. Address all environmental concerns. All work shall be
constructed as per Plans and Specifications titled VGLZ940024,
Revitalize General Training Facility (Building 350). The Standard
Industrial Classification Code is 1542. The applicable size standard
including affiliates is no more than $17.OM average annual revenue for
the previous three years. The estimated magnitude of the construction
is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance is 270 calendar days
after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Interested concerns should as
early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days after
publication of this notice, indicate interest in bidding as the prime
or as a subcontractor on the project, evidence of capability to perform
including references for similar work with contract numbers, points of
contact, and telephone numbers, and if appropriate, a positive
statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically
disadvantaged business concern. In addition, dollar amount of current
construction bonding capability is required. The Contracting Officer
will utilize the information received to make a decision to issue this
solicitation as a set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) or
as ``UNRESTRICTED'' without further notice. Therefore, replies to this
notice are requested from all interested business concerns as well as
from SDB concerns. Replies must indicate the firm's size status such as
large business, small business, small disadvantaged business or 8(a).
