Z -- REPLACEMENT OF CHILLERS AT BUILDING 1003, NAVOCEANO, STENNIS SPACE CENTER, BAY ST. LOUIS, MS Solicitation N62467-95-B-5731 Due 091295 Contact, Mary Reed 601/377-8576/Contracting Officer D.W. The work to be performed under this project consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to remove two water cooled chillers, a cooling tower and three condensing water pumps; purchase and install two chillers, a two cell cooling tower, two pumps, and piping; construct cooling tower supports; and reconnect electrical service, controls, and sensors. Chilled water for air conditioning must be maintained to Building 1003. No total outages will be permitted. The Contractor shall provide a temporary air-cooled chiller with a minimum capacity of 525 kw to supply chill water. Only one chiller will be removed, replaced, and placed in service before work is begun on the second chiller. Screw type chillers, using 134a refrigerant, may be used in lieu of centrifugal chillers. As Discrete Option One - install a tube brush cleaning system on each chiller's condensing water lines. A Discrete Option Two - Provide a 2 year maintenance contract on the chillers. As Discrete Option three - Provide a 5 year maintenance contract on the chillers. Estimated cost range $250,000 to $500,000. estimated time for completion one hundred-twenty (120) calendar days. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 11 August 1995, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office above evidence of capability to perform the work herein described and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. Evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds from an approved surety and specific information which demonstrates the capabiliy to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete informaion concerning management experience in similar work and current financial statement shall be submitted with references. Letters of credit from financial institutions WILL NOT be considered in lieu of a financial statement. However, letters of credit will be accepted for the purposes of substantiating financial responsibility. IF THE REQUESTED INFORMATION IS NOT RECEIVED FROM AN ADEQUATE NUMER OF SDB CONCERNS, THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS BY AMENDMENT.
