Z -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: MAINTAIN, REPAIR AND ALTER AGE SHOP, BLDG. 420. SOL Project JLSS 95-0007A/B/C. DUE 091995. Contact Fred Shamonsky, 412-474-8125, Contracting Officer Daniel C. Lucci, 412-474-8119, Facsimile 412-474-8410. Maintain, Repair and Alter AGE Shop Building 420. Work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, equipment and testing necessary to repaint the entire interior wall surfaces, trim, doors and frames. Landscape the area north of the building using a combination of evergreen trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. Replace the existing suspended ceilings in the office and break rooms. Install a new gypsum board system with vapor barrier and sound attenuating insulation. Replace vinyl floor tile, and ceramic floor and wall tile. Remove existing lighting fixtures switches and wiring for same throughout the building. Remove wiring associated with the unit heater removal and the boiler, pump, etc. Provide new lighting fixtures throughout the building and electrical wiring to new boiler and pumps. Provide electrical wiring for HVAC equipment and wiring to new overhead doors and five ton hoist. Perform work under a single lump-sum firm fixed-price contract. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract documents and specifications. Solicitation package available o/a 18 Aug 95. The performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Government requires a 90-day bid acceptance period. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office above, evidence of capability to perform and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as full and open competition, without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns. Price ranges between $250,000 and $500,000. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after bid opening/RFP closing, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. (186)
