66 -- PURCHASE OF FRYER IMAGE ANALYSIS SYSTEMS SOL CS-I-95-038 DUE 083195 POC Contact Point, Beverly Tyree, (317)298-1180x1122, Contracting Officer, Lee Sullivan, (317)298-1180x1119 The U.S. Customs Service Laboratory at New Orleans, LA, has a requirement for the purchase, installation, and training for one new Fryer metamorph windows-based image analysis workstation, and one upgrade of an existing Fryer windows-based image analysis system. Both systems are comprised of numerous components such as cameras, modems, printers, and related software. This agency intends to procure the systems sole source under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1), from the Fryer Company, Inc., 11177 E. Main St., Huntley, IL 60142. The reason for procuring this requirement sole source is that Fryer is the only known firm that is capable of upgrading and furnishing their produced image analysis systems, which meet the unique mission needs of the Customs laboratory in New Orleans. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. See Numbered Note 22. (0191)
