This is a notice of intent to award a sole source requirements contract to Visual Instrumentation Corp., Lancaster, CA. The period of performance will be Sep 1995 to Sep 1999. The requirement is to rebuild, upgrade and refurbish Air Force supplied Locam Model 50-0002 16mm high speed cameras used onboard high performance military aircraft to record pictorial information in a flight test environment. This upgrade and refurbishment will include: upgrade cameras with an electronic interface, Model 1528-50 Electronic Data Management Control (EDMC) System, that will connect to and communicate with a central airborne computer to program, control and monitor camera performance during flight operations; perform a factory level mechanical overhaul of each camera mechanism that will return cameras to like-new condition.
