C -- REPLACE X-RAY SE208 SOL RFP 589-29-95 DUE 081795 POC Contracting Officer, Charlene Webster, (816)922-2062 A/E service required to perform a complete preliminary survey, complete design including drawings, specifications, & supporting documents (no construction period services) to replace X-ray Room SE208 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. This project involves renovating the tomography x-ray room & associated rooms SE208, 209 & 210 which is located on the 2nd floor of Bldg 1. The renovation will accomodate a new tomography x-ray machine & film processor. The A/E shall provide the service of a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to conduct a detailed survey to identify & locate any asbestos in the defined area. A/E firms who do not have sufficient resources need not apply. Design should be completed within 90 days after award. Selection will be based on the following criteria which may not be all inclusive: Recent specialized experience of firms in type of work required. Professional capacity of the firm to accomplish the contemplated work within time frame & cost limitations. Professional qualifications of staff, subcontractor & consultants. Estimated construction is between $250,000 & $500,000. Area of consideration is restricted to small business firms within a 50 mile radius of Kansas City, MO. Firms desiring consideration shall submit 254's/255's NLT 8/17/95. This is not a request for proposals. Contract award subject to availability of funds. (0191)
