for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to request competitive
proposals for information systems development support and related
services for NIOSH activities, Cincinnati, Ohio. This requirement was
initially advertised under solicitation number 95-17(N), published
2/28/95 as a partial small-business set-aside portion of that
procurement. 95-17(N) is now a single award for CDC requirements and
NIOSH requirements described herein are a separate procurement. Small
business concerns interested in this requirement who are presently on
the Bidder's List for 95-17(N) must reapply citing an interest in
95-180(N). The level of effort is estimated at 90,900 hours over a five
year period of performance (one base year plus four option years). The
Government will award a cost-plus-fixed-fee type contract. The work
will consist of a variety of programming and related services involving
various information systems technologies and computing platforms
including mainframe, microprocessor workstation, and network server
technologies including client-server applications. Work involves
information and data analysis systems in support of NIOSH mission,
including performing requirements analyses; design and development of
new systems; ensuring information systems security; modification,
maintenance and conversion of existing systems; data and database
administration; training users in both NIOSH developed and commercial
applications; hot-line user support to application users including
NIOSH staff and state and local health professionals throughout the
U.S. in the use of NIOSH developed applications; programming support
for the analysis of scientific, statistical, and public health data;
systems integration, data conversion, and data communications via
networking and telecommunications between disparate systems and
geographic locations; data entry and keypunch support; graphics and
desktop publishing. Performance is required on-site in NIOSH's
facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio. The solicitation will be available on
or about August 18, 1995. Only written requests submitted to the
address shown above will be honored. The date specified for receipt of
offers will be approximately 30 days after the RFP issue date.
Requests for the RFP must cite RFP 95-180(N). Telephone requests will
not be accepted. All eligible responsible sources may submit an offer
