Turpin, Jr., 509/376-7759 The U.S. Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office, is seeking comments on a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Contractor to manage the Hanford Site located in Southeastern Washington near Richland, WA. The draft RFP will contain the contract performance and contract reform principles currently being implemented within the Department of Energy. The draft will be available on or about July 31, 1995. The draft RFP will be available for review on Internet at http://twins. pnl.gov:8001/refmain.htm, via computer disk as a WordPerfect Version 5.1 for DOS, or in hard copy form. In addition to general comments on the draft RFP, DOE is seeking specific comments on 1) the length of time that should be allotted from issuance of the final RFP to the deadline date for submittal of proposals and 2) whether to use oral presentations in lieu of written proposals. Written comments, preferably in WordPerfect Version 5.1 for DOS, on the draft RFP must be received by September 15, 1995, at the above address. Written comments will also be accepted via facsimile at the above telephone number and written or oral comments will be taken during public hearings to be held in the following locations on dates to be announced later: Tri-Cities, Spokane, and Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregan; and Boise, Idaho.
