here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for small
disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns that
meet this criteria who wish to be considered in accordance with Public
Law and Federal Acquisition Regulations should, as early as possible
but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the
acquisition by providing to the Contracting Office evidence of
capability to perform (including references for similar work with
points of contact, telephone number and contract number), letter from
bonding company certifying maximum level of bonding for the proposed
project, affirmative statement requesting set-aside action and intent
to bid and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and
economically disadvantaged business concern. Even if you have sent
evidence of SDB eligibility on a prior solicitation, you must submit
documentation that will become a part of this solicitation file. If
adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, within fifteen
days of this notice, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted
without further notice. Funds are not presently available for this
contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent
upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for
contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the
Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to
the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor
received notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the
Contracting Officer. The work includes furnishing all labor, material
and equipment as required for the demolition and disposal of Building
18A in its entirety, which consists of an enclosed interior swimming
pool, men's and women's locker rooms, basement mechanical room with
boiler, fuel oil tanks, pool filters, electrical equipment, etc. The
building has concrete foundation walls. Portions of the existing
bitumnous parking area will be removed. The foundation/basement area
and are of removed bituminous pavig shall be backfilled and 4 inches
minimum of topsoil provided and graded to match existing grades and
seeded. All utilities will be removed and terminated exterior to the
building. The demolition includes asbestos removal and disposal of
interior and exterior finishes and piping as shown. The project also
includes the installation of a new pad mounted transformer, 15 KV pad
mounted switch, and distribution panelboard. Controls present in
Building 18A for the existing lift station to remain will be relocated
to a new weatherproof enclosure adjacent to the lift station. Also
included is the relocation of the water line that serves Building 18C
and the pavilions located southwest of building 18A, and incidental
related work. Estimated price range: between $250,000 and $500,000.
