16 -- CMS PERSONNEL IN SUPPORT OF THE E-2C AIRCRAFT AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT SOL N00140-95-Q-3493, SYN 447 POC Contact Point, H. BRYDON, (215)697-9577, Contracting Officer, D.J. CONSALVI, (215)697-9577 On-call Contractor Maintenance Services (CMS) in support of the E-2C aircraft. The proposed procurement is for 50 months of services as currently estimated by Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit (NAESU). The proposed effort will commence on 28 Aug 95 and will run through 30 Sep 95. This effort will be covered by a modification to an existing contract. This period covers the Government's minimum needs for this period. The Solicitation will contain a specification for Contractor Maintenance Service representatives. The place of performance is various Fleet and Shore Activities which are specified in the solicitation. The eventual contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Grumman Aerospace Corporation, New York, NY 11714 under the authority of FAR 6-302.1. Grumman Aerospace Corporation, New York, NY 11714 is the only supplier of these services at this time. This firm is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source with the required technical and engineering expertise, ''in-plant'' support, and requisite data base to perform the required services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interests and technical capability to respond to this requirement. Interested parties who contend they are technically qualified should submit, within forty-five (45) days from the publication of this notice, specific factual data; including but not limited to: technical resumes, corporate management experience, and other pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully perform the required services. All technical proposals received within the forty-five (45) days notice will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon technical responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
