16 -- EDM FOR THE MCU PROGRAM FOR THE E-2C AIRCRAFT POC Contact, Judy Simpson, Phone (703)604-6100 The Government intends to negotiate with Grumman Aerospace Corporation, South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage, NY 11714, for an engineering development model (EDM) for the the mission computer upgrade (MCU) program for the E-2C aircraft. This effort will provide for integration of both the hardware and software into the E-2C aircraft. The Government does not own the Level III drawings for each resident subsystem within the aircraft in order to allow for full and open competition for this procurement. As the designer and sole manufacturer of the E-2C aircraft, Grumman Aerospace is the only firm with the tooling, requisite skills, knowledge, and documentation capable of completing the work within the required timeframe.
