Support Office, Annapolis, MD has a requirement for two Universal Test
Machines. One will be a 12,000 pound capacity, and the other will be
a 30,000 pound capacity. The requirement also includes on site training
of personnel. This proposed contract is being considered as a 100
percent set-aside for small business concerns, as defined by the clause
at 52.219-6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Interested Small
Businesses should provide the contracting office as early as possible,
but not later than 15 days after this notice, evidence of their
capability to perform the contract, and a positive statement of their
eligibility as a small business. A manufacturer or regular dealer
submitting an offeror in its own name agrees to furnish, end items
manufactured or produced by small business concerns inside the United
States, Puerto Rico, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or the
District of Columbia. If adequate response is not received from small
business concerns, the solicitation will instead be issued, without
further notice, as Unrestricted. Therefore, replies to this notice are
