Primarily interior renovation of lobby containing approximately 4,800 square feet. Work shall consist of demolition of ceramic tile floors, wall finishes and ceilings, installation of ceramic tile floors, suspended acoustical ceilings, carpet, cabinetry, signage and walls. Other work includes exterior demolition and reinstallation of concrete paving for handicap accessibility of Westside Station, Little Rock, Arkansas, in accordance with plans and specifications. Estimated cost range is $175,000-$200,000; and construction time is 120 calendar days. Successful oferor must submt their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% performance and 50% payment bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this offie, prior to, but not later than 3:30 pm on August 14, 1995. This is a request for proposals, therefore, no public opening will be conducted. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed to anyone until after award of a contract is made, and the requests submitted in writing. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on May 17, 1995 at a cost of $50.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only.
