AUGUSTINE HARBOR, FLORIDA SOL DACW17-95-B-0047 DUE 090695 POC Contract Specialist, Robert Mosteller, (904)232-3739 The project work consists of maintenance dredging of the 12-foot and 16-foot projects which will require the removal of 324,000 cy of sandy material. The 16-foot entrance channel is the base bid item and will require the removal of 292,000 cy. There are 2 bid options for the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW). IWW bid option No. 1 will remove 26,000 cy and IWW bid option No. 2 remove 6,000 cy. The disposal of dredged materials will be at two beach disposal areas south of the inlet. The north segment is about 19,000 feet south of the inlet and the south segment is about 26,000 feet south of the inlet. Both segments are about 2,200 feet in length and approximately 70 percent of the dredged material will be placed in the south segment. The south segment shall be completed prior to disposing in the north segment. Entrance channel dredging will occur outside of the St. Augustine Inlet and the contractor will have to acquire the appropriate U.S. Coast Guard certification(s). The transport of material will have to be by pipeline and/or U.S. Coast Guard approved ocean going vessel(s). Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 10 Jul 95. Invitation DACW17-95-B-0047 will be issued on or about 28 Jul 95 and opened on or about 31 Aug 95.
