HAZARDOUS WASTE SOL N47408-95-R-2301 DUE 083195 POC Contract
Specialist, TRUDY DILIELLO, 805-982-5762 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT. THIS
IS NOT A REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED
SOLELY ON THE BASIS OF THE RESPONSE HERETO, OR ON FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION
SUBSEQUENTLY SOUGHT. NO REIMBURSEMENT FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH
PROVIDING THIS INFORMATION WILL BE MADE. The Naval Facilities
Engineering Service Center (NFESC) is seeking information from
companies that operate demonstration scale innovative hazardous waste
treatment processes. The NFESC has been tasked to compile a directory
of advanced hazardous waste treatment systems to assist Navy planners
in identifying future treatment options for solid, liquid, and gaseous
hazardous wastes. The Navy is especially interested in demonstration
scale hardware that can be used for testing samples of actual waste
materials. As a first step in developing the directory of innovative
treatment technology, the NFESC is gathering information on waste
treatment technologies that are in the advanced development stage. We
are not seeking information on laboratory scale systems or ordinary,
off-the-shelf treatment systems. Waste streams that are of particular
interest include liquids such as paints, solvents, oils, and other
organic wastes, and aqueous solutions such as plating shop wastes,
acids, and alkali solutions. Solid wastes of particular interest
include items such as batteries, blasting media, rags, as well as
solids contaminated with PCB's and other hazardous materials. The
gaseous waste streams of interest typically contain volatile organic
compounds. Respondents should provide the following information about
their hazardous waste treatment technology: Name/address of company,
company point-of-contact with phone/fax number, narrative description
of process, treatment capacity of pilot/demonstration plant in pounds
of waste per hour, process flow diagram, lists of wastes treated to
date, experiemental results including destruction efficiency and
process emissions, required operating permits, economic data including
capital/operating costs, and a photograph of the treatment system. It
is also requested that all proprietary information that is not to be
published or disseminated be clearly identified. All responses must be
mailed to: Department of the Navy, CBC Code 272313, 1000 23rd Avenue,
Port Hueneme, CA 93043-4301. Deadline for receipt of responses is
August 15, 1995. (0193) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0054 19950713\F-0016.SOL)
