R -- PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, DESIGN SERVICES, INVENTORY CONTROL AND MOVING SERVICES FOR HERMAN MILLER FURNITURE CURRENTLY OWNED BY THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION IN DENVER, CO. SOL 5-SP-81-20520 DUE 081495 POC Kent Charles, Contracting Officer, 303/236-8040 extension 243 Concerns having the ability to provide product management, design services, inventory control and moving services for Herman Miller furniture in existing inventory of the Bureau in Denver are requested to give written notification, including a telephone number for a POC to the acquisition office listed in this notice within 30 calendar days from the date of synopsis. The Bureau of Reclamation, requires project management which includes furniture pre-installation meetings to pass on all information, punch list walk through/follow-up, meetings with client/correspondence and management of design quality control. Design development includes collecting and compiling client design data, creating plans of existing facilities, creating space block plan and compiling electrical requirements. Furniture design includes preparing layout and cubicle drawings and cost estimates. Installation design includes preparing installation drawings, product specifications, cap (order list) and basic construction drawings. Project management of installation includes insuring quality control that verifies product is installed according to plans; product is properly aligned and spaced; product is free of damage; electrical system is functional and final cleaning and touch painting is done, oversees and inspects during and after installation. Manages installation drawings and punch list records. Schedules installation crews. Performs miscellaneous installments and de-installments. Performs minor repairs of product. Inventory control services include monthly schedules for product deliveries and installations, tracking all orders/produces status reports, verifying incoming new product, overseeing of product pulling and return of excess product, coordinates with moving service for delivery of product, Repair of minor scratches and dents; repair damage furniture in warehouse or on site. Moving services include moving Herman Miller Furniture from BOR warehouses to installation site; excess Herman Miller Furniture from Bldgs 67, 56 at the Denver Federal Center to BOR warehouses; coordination of product moving with Project Manager and transportation in a manner to prevent damage. The Contractor must be available on a short notice or emergencies. The Government does not have specifications suitable for competition of this requirement. This is not a formal solicitation. However, concerns that respond shall provide detailed data concerning their capabilities to meet this requirement. Concerns may request to receive a copy of the solicitation when and if it becomes available. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation. All sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including identification as to whether they are small, large, minority-owned, and/or woman-owned. The small business size standard for this acquisition is $3.5 Million average annual receipts over the past three years. See Note 22. (0193)
