Bauman, Jr. Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor and materials for removal of existing steam piping from designated buildings located within Fort Detrick, Frederick, Maryland and installation heat exchangers, pumps, finned-tube- radiatiors, and hot water piping for a new heating system. The scope of work shall include but not be limited to the aforementioned steam heating replacement; architectural work to restore the walls and ceilings damaged due to removal and installation of new steam piping; furnishing of temporary on site office facilities for displaced Government employees; moving of computer and communications equipment as well as furnishing of trunk lines for connecting and bridging of computers and communications equipment. In addition, this requirement is for the removal and replacement of underground steam and condensate piping (direct burial conduit system) along Sultan Street, Fort Detrick. The Sultan Street replacement work will also require cutting trenches in the asphalt street and repaving as well as traffic control during this process. Solicitation number DAMD17-95-B-5030 will be available on or about August 1, 1995 and opening on or about August 30, 1995. Limit of 40 solicitation packages on a first come, first serve basis. The estimated price range of this procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
