Ft. Belvoir, Virginia 22060-5806 58 -- MARKETING SURVEY FOR A WIDE BAND SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
POC Paul Bachelder (703)704-3069, FAX (703)704-1111, e-mail:
pbacheld@nvl.mil. Night Vision & Electronic Sensors Directorate is
performing a marketing survey on presently available communications
systems. These communications systems can compress, encrypt and send
data files of up to a few hundred megabytes, from a deployed sensor in
a relatively short time, to a receiver with a terminal (with data
storage) over long range and worldwide. It is preferable that the
transmitter operate in a Low Probability of Interception (LPI). The
system should be hand-transportable or capable of being broken down
into such packages. It will be carried by users in tactical/wartime
situations and should be simple and quick to operate. It should be
capable of operating off batteries and common foreign and US power
sources. Respondents must have a secret security level clearance.
Respondents will not receive payment or commitment from the government.
