The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Washington (FISCNORDETWASH) has a requirement in support of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment (PESO), Annapolis, MD for an automatic microindentation hardness tester, CNC. The equipment shall consist of, but is not limited to: a vibration resistant hardness tester with an observation tube and a video camera port, TV coupler, a 10X widefeld dual line filar eyepiece and a motorized turret. The motorized stage travel shall be 50mm in both X and Y directions. The stage shall be controlled either through software or manually with a 3-axis joystick control box. A hardness tester control program or image analysis program shall be mouse driven and Windows based and control the functions of the hardness testeras as well as interface to both an existing ''Olympus BHSM'' microscope with a motorized stage and a macrostand. An image analysis program shall be tailored to materials science applications. A microprocessor platform and associated hardware is to be included. Place of delivery has not been secured but equipment is being procured for Naval Surface Weapons Center, Carderock, MD. Proposals will be evaluated based upon low price/technically acceptable.
