Luke Air Force Base, Arizona has an impending requirement for the purchase of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternatvie fuel source for the purpose of satisfying the Alternative Fueled Vehicle compliance requiremens establsished under the 1992 Energy Policy Act and Executive order 12844. It is anticipated that 10% of the vehicle fleet will be converted by the end of 1995, and as much as 40% to be converted at a later date. Luke AFB proposes to award an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the supply of compressed natural gas. The proposed contract will include a one (1) year basic period, plus four (4) one-year option periods, offering a guaranteed minimum purchase of 22,855 CNG gallons during the basic year period. Total annual consumption is estimated between 22,855 and 44,270 CNG gallons per year. In addition to the supply of CNG, the successful offeror will be required to establish at its own expense, a dispensing station suitable for general public refueling applications wihin a one mile vicinity of Luke AFB, AZ.
