3398 A -- FAST RUNNING MODELS FOR NUCLEAR SCENARIO SIMULATION SOL
DNA001-95-R-0052 DUE 081595 POC Michael Jackson, Negotiator, (703)
325-9211, Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028. The
Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA) is seeking assistance in an effort to
develop a consistent set of models for predicting the nuclear
environments which can produce significant propagation-type and optical
effects. Secondary is the requirement to maintain and distribute codes
and models associated with atmospheric nuclear effects prediction
capability as needed. The contractor shall investigate, analyze and
develop methods for generating fast-running models of the nuclear
environments necessary for the distribution of an integrated,
interactive engagement-level model for the simulation of battlefield
events. The initial focus shall be on the operation of Theater Missile
Defense (TMD) assets and their associated communications and cueing
from overhead of other sensors. Additionally, the contractor shall
address problems associated with environments which may affect overhead
sensors, using both RF and optical means. The primary phenomenology
area is expected to be effects from high altitude (greater than 100 km)
bursts. This procurement is a small business set-aside. All contractor
personnel will require a DoD security clearance of SECRET. All
requests for the RFP must be in writing. Faxed requests are acceptable
and should be addressed to the attention of Michael Jackson/AM-1 and
faxed to (703) 325-9291. A hard copy need not follow a faxed request.
