Bland, (202) 482-1677 The Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis, Economic Classification Policy Committee (ECPC) requires consulting, research and analysis services on a range of issues and topics pertinent to the North American Industry Classification System. ECPC must have a new, improved economic classification system in place for the 1997 Economic Census, the new classification system must be coordinated with Canada and Mexico, so that compatible international data will be produced, therefore, extensive knowledge in economic classification is required. This acquisition is a follow-on to DoC contract No. 50-SABA-4-00039, and the Government intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Joel Popkin & Company. See Note 22 (0194)
