X -- BXA UPDATE WEST CONFERENCE SOL 52SAEX600010 POC Bill Russell, FAX (202) 482-0546 This procurement is for a conference facility to host the 1995 BXA Update Conference to be held August 16 - 18, 1995. The facility must have conference, meeting, and sleeping space available for the FIRM dates of August 16 - 18, 1995. There must be sleeping rooms available for 200 participants and a plenary meeting room able to accomodate 600 participants. The facility must have private dining facilities capable of accomodating 400-750 participants. The facility must have a registration area capable of accomodating 750 people with a minimum of 1600 square feet of exhibit space. The facility must have on-site parking for 600 participants and be within walking distance of public transportation. The facility must also be located within five miles of the San Jose Airport and the Department of Commerce's Regional Office located at 5201 Great American Parkway, San Jose, California. Vendors believing they can meet these requirements are invited to submit a proposal to this office within 45 days. Information provided will be used to determine whether or not other offerors can meet the requirements. If others can meet the requirements, a competitive procurement will be done. The Department of Commerce intends to enter into a sole source negotiated procurement with the Red Lion Hotel and Inn of San Jose, California (see Note 22). (0194)
