consists of removal carpet, plastic shower stall. Abatement of vinyl
asbestos flooring tiles, asbestos thermal system insulation and
miscellaneous abestos materials.Install new floor and carpeting. Repair
and repaint existing walls. Remove existing ceiling and lighting
fixtures, and install new dropped ceiling and lighting fixtures. Remove
existing build-up roofing membrane and install new modified bitumen
roofing system. Remove existing HVAC systems and replace AC unit and
install cooling towers with piping, ductwork, and controls. Project
also includes removal of existing lighting fixtures, poles, bases,
electrical distribution lines, and adandoned fencing; installation of
new poles with flood lights and concrete bases, new power distribution
system for floodlights and surveillance cameras and conduit for fiber
otic cables. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1542.
The size standard for this SIC code is: $ 17.0 NOTE: Standard bid
opening time is NOW 1:00 (1300 hrs). Make note on your purchased
solicitation package. Large businesses competing for this project must
comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a
subcontracting plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract.
The recommended goals for subcontracting are 60.3% for small business,
9.8% for small disadvantaged business, and 2.9% for small
business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must
submit written rationale to support goals submitted. Estimated cost is
between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and specifications available
on or about 07 Aug 95 at a cost of $18.00 for specifications (text
only); $6.00 for half-size drawings and $13.00 for full-size drawings.
