transportation, and services necessary for the Engine Generator
replacement at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Stockton Air
Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), located in Stockton, California. Work
shall include, but is not limited to the following: remove existing
engine generator and associated equipment, provide temporary engine
generator and associated equipment, provide and install new generator
and associated equipment, provide and install upgraded power
distribution system, install fuel storage tank, painting, thermal and
moisture protection, concrete, demolition, and general site work. All
work shall be performed in strict accordance with FAA plans and
specifications. The period of performance is 45 calendar days after
receipt of the notice to proceed. Invitation for Bid (IFB)
DTFA08-95-B-03942 will be available on or about August 7, 1995, with a
public bid opening approximately 30 days thereafter. The estimated
price range for this procurement is between $100,000.00 and
$250,000.00. All responsible offerors may submitt a bid which shall be
considered by the FAA. All interested offerors must submit their

(SIC) Code for this procurement is 1731-Electrical Work, $7.0 size

This notice BELOW is for informational purposes for Minority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000. For further
