PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Upgrade Potable Water System, Part A (P-213) includes the following: replacement of the filter pumps; refurbishment of the water treatment plant units; installation of a filter-to-waste piping system; restoration of a one million gallon reinforced concrete reservoir; replacement of a number of potable water distribution piping sections, and additive work such as replacement of additional waterline segments, addition of two chemical feed systems, rerouting of reservoir inlet piping, installation of a pre-engineered sun shade structure over the existing potable water treatment units and incidental related work, complete and ready for use. Upgrade Wastewater System, Part B (P-214) includes the following: refurbishment of three wastewater lift stations and two wastewater pump stations; construction of a new wastewater holding pond and pump station; remodel of the existing wastewater distribution structure; installation of a new headworks; repair of the existng oxidation ditch and clarifier; construction of a new return activated pump system, construction of a new sludge drying bed, and incidental related work, complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is approximately 300 calendar days.--This proposed contract is tentatively 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB).--The Standard Industrial Code is 1629 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--SDB General Contractors must respond in writing no later than 15 days after publication of this advertisement in the CBD.--The written response shall provide the following information: the IFB number N68711-92-B-4802, the firms complete name, address, and phone number, including area code, bonding limitation, capacity, and current availability, the firm's dollar limit for bid guarantee/performance guarantee capacity, provide a minimum of three references with same or similar type work that is currently in progress, or that has been successfully completed.--Lack of detailed responses to the above requested information may result in this solicitation being issued unrestricted.--Tentative issued date on or about 07 August 1995 with an opening date of approximately 30 days later (NOTE: BOD stated above is TENTATIVE).
