includes providing all supervision, labor, materials, transportation
and equipment to provide the installation of loose laid fabric
reinforced p.v.c. roofing system over the prepared surface of the
existing built up roofing and insulating concrete at Michelson and
Chauvenet Hall roofs. Main roofs, courtyards, intermediate and small
penthouses will receive a new single ply pvc roofing membrane over the
existing built up roof. Stone ballast will be added to hold new
roofing in place. Larger penthouses will receive mechanically fastened
insulation and single ply roofing membrane. All membrane base flashing
which contains asbestos will be abated. All metal coping surrounding
the perimeter of the large mechanical penthouses (which are to receive
mechanically attached roofing) will be replaced with new copper
coping. Replacement of all existing roof drains down to first 90 degree
elbow and installation of two 45 degree elbows versus one ninety degree
elbow where possilbe Existing wood decking is to be replaced with
precast concrete roof pavers. Existing mechanical equipment and
existing exterior mansard roof steel angle support braces will be
modified with new tube steel support members at base. Interior roof
screens composed of exiting wood surrounding interior court #4 on
Chauvenet Hall are to be demolished and replaced with new metal framing
and metal screen panels. Mechanical equipment and exterior mansare roof
support framing at Michelson and Chauvenet roofs - all exisitng steel
support framing and new steel support framing at roofs are to receive
new paint finish to all supports. The work shall include all incidental
related work for a complete reroofing project at the U.S. Naval
Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. The estimated date for availability of
this specification is 21 July 1995. The estimated cost range for this
project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. There is a
non-refundable charge of $16.00 for this solicitation payably by check
or money order to the Treasurer of the United States. This project is
