This contract will modify administrative spaces on the second floor of a Navy hangar into a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The work includes demolition, interior wall construction, general architectural upgrades such as new suspended ceilings and finishes, installation of raised computer flooring, fire protection and warning systems, intrusion detection systems, air conditioning and heating systems, electrical work including lighting, power, communications, grounding and transformer installation, and incidental related work required to convert the spaces into a SCIF. The work does not include installation of any Government equipment. The contract includes asbestos abatement necessary to complete the work. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement will be encountered. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 03 August 1995 at no charge until supply is exhausted. Contract completion time is 150 calendar days.
