Tunnel contains a 12-inch diameter steam line, approximately 2,000 feet in length and lesser amounts on secondary lines in various locations, in accordance with the specifications and drawings. March 1996 is the scheduled time for abatement work to commence. Cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1799. Solicitation will be available on July 20, 1995 and will be provided in response to written requests only. Reference the solicitation number, state the name of the requestor, mailing address and telephone number. Faxed request will be accepted when sent to the Contracting Officer at 713/794-7869. A site visit is required; only one visit will be scheduled and this date will be announced in the solicitation. Prospective bidders must furnish and wear appropriate HEPA filter respiratory euipment to enter the steam tunnel.
