Destination: Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for Three Wheel Truck at a quantity of 10 ea.; Three Wheel Truck Stand at a quantity of 40 ea.; Type A Four Wheel Truck at a quantity of 10 ea.; Type A Crane at quantity of 10 ea.; Type E Crane at a quantity of 10 ea.; Type E Truck at a quantity of 10 ea.; and Type E Crane Boom Extension at a quantity of 5 each. The trucks and cranes shall be portable devices used for positioning current meters at various measurement points on a bridge. They shall be primarily constructed of aluminum angles and flat bars. Specifications and blueline drawings to be provided by the Government. Delivery for all items required within 120 days from date of contract award. Acceptance testing to be complete within 30 days of delivery. A request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued 15 days from the date this notice is published. Award will be made under simplified acquisition procedures to the quote offering the lowest overall cost to the Government for equipment meeting the specifications in the RFQ. It is the intention of this office to issue this RFQ via electronic Data Interchange (EDI) through the Government's Federal Acquisition Computer Network (FACNET) system. Vendors who are registered with FACNET need not respond to this synopsis since the RFQ will be available on FACNET on or about July 13, 1995. Vendors who are not registered with FACNET may either submit a written request or fax (7036487901) to the contracting officer for a copy of the RFQ.
