for airborne telemetry equipment in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD)
issue of 2/7/1994, the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) awarded
contract F04611-94-C0048 to the Aydin Vector Division, Newtown PA, on
4/13/1994. The AFFTC now intends, by contract modification, to acquire
the following airborne telemetry equipment for use as spares: three
each Analog Multiplexers, Aydin Vector P/N AMC-132-1; two each Analog
Multiplexers, Aydin Vector P/N AMC-216-1; nine each 1553 Bus Monitors,
Aydin Vector P/N BMC-553-2; three each frequency counters, Aydin
Vector P/N DFC-104-1; three each Bi-Level Multiplexers, Aydin Vector
P/N DMC-148-1; four each Conditioning Units with 3 MHz crystals, Aydin
Vector P/N PCU-808-1; three each Serial Digital interfaces, Aydin
Vector SDC-202-1; five each Synchro Resolvers, Aydin Vector P/N
SRC-103-1; three each Reader/Regenerators, Aydin Vector P/N TTE-100-4.
Data from these units shall be recorded on an airborne tape recorder
to permit flight test engineers to assess the cause of system failures
and/or mission highlights, as well as transmitted to the control
facility engineers on the ground. This equipment must be 100%
compatible with all the electronic and electrical systems already
installed on the F-16D/1D2 and F-16C/1C-47 aircraft. The units must
also meet stringent aircraft qualifications and fit into a very
restricted space within the aircraft. Delivery to Edwards AFB CA. Using
the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only
one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy
agency requirement at more favorable prices/terms, the AFFTC intends to
modify its contract with Aydin Vector Division, Newtown PA, unless
responses to this notice reveal other sources capable of satisfying the
Government's entire requirement at more favorable prices/terms.
Interested vendors must submit clear and convincing documentation,
including prices, that clearly demonstrates the capability of their
