DesJarlais, 804/441-6580 The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration requires a Switch/Attenuator, Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and RF/IF Downconverter. The Switch/Variable Attenuator is to replace a MITEQ, Inc. Model #SVA-38646. This unit provides radio frequency (rf) switch path selection at intermediate frequencies (i.f.) and provides the capability to customize the levels in each path via attenuation control. Remote operation through a serial, RS-422 interface is required and shall be compatible with associated MITEQ peripheral equipment. Other information on this interface is the unit's functional status and any alarms. The Low Noise Amplifier is to replace a MITEQ Inc. Model #AMF-3S-1617-06. The unit will be used as a drop in replacement for existing equipment and no deviation from form or function is permissible. The RF/IF Downconverter is to replace a MITEQ, Inc. Model #DN-1.7-38646. The unit shall have the same physical dimensions and shall be compatible in every way with existing MITEQ remote control equipment. All replacement units shall possess the same input, output, control and power interfaces as the MITEQ Model numbers listed above and shall be functionally equivalent.
