COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 18,1995 PSA#1390Defense Nuclear Agency, 6801 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22310-
3398 A -- CONTINUATION OF WORK UNDER DEVELOPMENT OF AN INNOVATIVE PROTOTYPE
SOL DNA001-92-C-0089 POC David Nemerow, Negotiator, (703) 325-6627,
Daniel R. Gonzales, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-6684. The Defense
Nuclear Agency (DNA) anticipates modifying contract DNA001-92-C-0089
with Maxwell Laboratories, S-Cubed Division, 3398 Carmel Mountain Road,
San Diego, CA 92121-1095, for the installation of NEDMAS (Nuclear
Effects Data Management and Analysis System) as a self-contained module
that can be executed from the DARE (Data Archiving and Retrieval
Enhancements) system; and add cratering data from the Teapot ESS and
Misty Picture events to the NEDMAS system. S-Cubed has been soley
responsible for the development of the NEDMAS system and has
successfully implemented a prototype version which has been widely
acclaimed by the DNA user community. S-Cubed is intimately familiar
with the software specifications of DARE and associated requirements
for the efficient integration of NEDMAS into DARE. S-Cubed has produced
an extensive variety of specialized software tools which are applicable
to the analysis and visualization of a wide range of nuclear effects
data. DNA believes no other contractor has the experience or corporate
memory to perform this work. It would be very impracticable for any
other company to perform this effort, since it would require additional
time and funds. See Note 22. For further information contact David
Nemerow, (703) 325-6627. Information on DNA solicitations, already
released, can be obtained by calling the DNA Hotline at (703) 325-1173.
