COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 18,1995 PSA#1390The Library of Congress, Contracts and Logistics Service, 1701
Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785 B -- DESIGN OF INTEGRATED AUDIO AND VIDEO SYSTEMS FOR THE COOLIDGE AND
WHITTAL PAVILION AND RECORDING LABORATORY. SOL RFP95-36 DUE 081895 POC
Kaye Klinker, Contracting Officer, (202) 707-8608. The Library
requires the services of audio and video system design engineers to
design an integrated audio and video system which will electronically
amplify, record, transmit and edit the performances from the Library's
Coolidge Auditorium. The design must also incorporate the capability
to record, edit, monitor, transmit and playback audio and video in the
Library's Recording Lab and provide both audio and video feeds to
overflow audiences in the Library's Whittal Pavilion. The contractor
will be required to develop a comprehensive design to include
functional equipment specifications and system operation block diagrams
that may be used in a future solicitation to purchase the system. The
design contractor will not be allowed to participate in the acquisition
of the system, but will be retained to serve as a technical coordinator
throughout the implementation stage. The first performances in the
Coolidge Auditorium are scheduled to begin in October 1997. Time is of
the essence to provide for the facility design and system acquisition
in order to meet this critical deadline. Firms or individuals with
expertise in audio and video engineering may request a copy of
