The National Weather Service (NWS), Eastern Region Headquarters, Bohemia, New York has a requirement for the following service: operation of the Mid-Atlantic Weather Reporting and Disseminating System. The requirement includes collection of Mariner Reports (MAREPS); data relay to NWS; and broadcasts of weather information to mariners at sea. Services to consist of radio staffing 42 hours per week. Period of performance: October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996 with two one year options. The statute authority for other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253 (c)(1), only one responsible source. Any other person/firms desiring consideration are required to fully identify their interest and capabilities in writing to the Contracting Officer listed above.
