a requirement for the following: 6 each encryption unit, salient
characteristics are: telemetry data encryption containing provisions
for a plug-in KGV-68 encryption device. Unit must be airborne qualified
and must accept the crypt key fill from COMSEC devices. Unit should
operate across the plain text and encrypted text domains and be
characterized for TEMPEST requirements. Unit should provide the
necessary power for a PCM encoder data source as well as the TM
transmitter. Unit should contain a plug-in module to allow choice of at
least three BIT rates per module, a plug-in crypt hold battery, and
crypt key status lamps visible to the user. Unit must contain
provisions for erasing the crypto key, automatic disabling of the
transmitter prior to and during crypto key fill. Units must be the same
footprint as the Microcom SP6-68-005 encryption unit and must be
electrically and electronically compatible with existing equipment in
the F-16 aircraft. Dimensions must not be more than 4.6 x 3.8 x 2.75
inches and must not weigh more than 50 ounces. Operating temperature
must be -30 deg C to +80 deg C. Connectors must be as follows: J1
(power) MS27508E12F35P, J2 (PCM) MS27508E12F35S, J3 (transmitter)
MS27508E12F35SA, J4 (fill) MS27508E10F35S. EMI per MIL-STD 461 and
MIL-STD 462. Radiated Emission per MIL-STD 461, Method RE02, 14KHz to
10GHz. Humidity per MIL-STD 810C. Acceleration 100g, 3 axes. Also 14
each telemetry transmitters, to observe real time pilot and/or aircraft
actions, salient characteristics are: must be manufactured under
quality control procedures in accordance with MIL-Q 9858A, and must be
airborne qualified. Transmitters must have an internal PROM translator
that enables custom selection codes or BCD thumbwheel inputs without
the need for additional hardware. Units must be the same footprint as
the Microcom T610S transmitter and must be electrically and
electronically compatible with existing equipment in the F-16 aircraft.
Volume must not exceed 8.8 cubic inches and weight must not exceed 12
ounces. Connectors must be as follows: J1 (power) PTH8-4P or
equivalent, J2 (RF output) and J3 (modulation input) SMA female, J4
(channel select) MDM-15S. Turn-on time per IRIG 106-86. Frequency
selection in 1 MHz steps. EMI MIL-STD 461 at 28 VDC, IRIG-106 for
antenna conducted. Temperature -40 deg C to + 85 deg C. Delivery for
both items 90 days ARO. SIC code 3663, size standard 750 employees.
