This is a notice of the Government's intent to acquire software consisting of Network User Object, Tivoli Management Framework, and Works from Tivoli Systems, Inc. This Distributed Management Environment (DME) tool will be used to administer UNIX workstations for the Strategic War Planning System Network located at United States Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, NE. This DME software will allow for the effective administration of the increasing number of SUN and SGI workstations. Description and quantities are as follows: MDB Network User Object (Site License) 150 each, TMF Tivoli Management Framework (License) 150 each, TW Works (License) 4 each, MDB-MNT Annual Maintenance 150 each, TMF-MNT Tivoli Maintenance Framework Annual Maintenance 150 each, TW-MNT Trivoli/Works Annual Maintenance 4 each. The software tool as a minimum must include the following: (a) User Management Support, (b) Task Management, (c) Software Management, (d) Hardware Management. Within each of the above criteria, the software must be able to provide the following functions as a minimum: (a) Configuration Management, (b) Performance Management, (c) Fault Management, (d) Security Management, (e) Resource Management. This is a sole source procurement with Tivoli Systems, Inc., 1415 22nd St, Oak Brook, IL 60521. Note 22 applies.
