Operations Office is conducting a market survey to determine the extent
to which commercial entities could provide equipment and technical and
engineering services for stabilizing and repackaging plutonium-bearing
materials for long-term storage in existing DOE Sites. This market
survey is a request for an indication of interest and availability of
qualified commercial sources to design, engineer, deliver, and install
equipment to be used to stabilize and package plutonium metals and
oxides of greater than 50 Pu-wt% in accordance with DOE-STD 3013-94,
Criterial for Safe Storage of Plutonium Metals and Oxides. Your
response must contain: 1) Demonstration of comprehensive knowledge of
federal environmental, safety, and health laws and regulations
including those applicable within the Department of Energy. 2)
Demonstation of extensive knowledge of and experience with plutonium
metals and oxides of purities greater than 50 Pu-wt%. 3) Demonstration
of experience in stabilizing and packaging these materials in
accourdance with standards equivalent to DOE-STD-3013-94, ANSI
N14.5-1987, NQA-1, American Glovebox Society Guidelines for Gloveboxes,
and DOE Order 5480.11. Copies of the referenced standards can be

projections (ALARA considerations) - Other potential safety risks to
