VA 22203 B -- CUMULATIVE ECOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE OIL AND GAS STRUCTURES
OF THE GULF OF MEXICO INFORMATION SEARCH SYNTHESIS, AND MODELING Sol
1445-ORFP-95-0008 Due 090495 Contact Joseph McHugh, Contracting
Officer, (703) 358-2371 The National Biological Service requires a
study to determine the contribution of oil and gas structures as a hard
bottom environment to marine productivity in the Gulf of Mexico. The
objective of the study is to characterize the cumulative ecological
significance of these structures. The research will focus on two main
aspects: the conduct of a literature search and synthesis of all
pertinent information and development of a predictive model for use in
predicting the effects of rig removal, relocation, and construction on
regional biological productivity. (198) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0013 19950718\B-0004.SOL)
