multi-disciplinary design services under Indefinite Delivery Indefinite
Quantity Contract on as needed basis, for Civil Engineering Services
including Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Environmental
disciplines. At lease two contracts will be awarded for these services.
As many as three contracts may be awarded. Typical projects will
include, but not be limited to: plans; Specifications; as-built
drawings; review submittal documents; perform construction inspection
of these projects, and perform associated professional services.
Environmental projects may include; Site investigations, formation of
remediation plans for contaminated soil, sampling protocols and
performance thereof, reports, cost estimates and design analysis. The
contract period of performance is one year with government option to
extend services for one year. Delivery Orders placed against these
contracts will not exceed the following limitations: No individual
order will exceed $200,000. The total amount of each contract shall not
exceed $500,000. per year with a minimum contract guarantee of $5,000.
Project will normally be located within the State of Alaska. Arctic
Engineering experience is required. A/E selection criteria will include
in order of importance: (1) Professional Qualifications to perform
services required; (2) Specialized experience to perform work required;
(3) Knowledge of location of the project site; (4) Location of A/E firm
in geographical area of the projects and Coast Guard Civil Engineering
Office, Juneau; (5) Location of A/E consultants (6) Past record of
performance in Cost Control, schedule and quality of work (7) Capacity
to accomplish the work in required time (8) Past evaluations, if any,
with U.S. Coast Guard (9) Having on file with the State of Alaska an
accepted Qualiity Assurance Program Plan (10) Having the necessary
qualifications to perform onsite field testing using a variety of
accepted practices to identify the extent of contaminated areas. Those
firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement and
wish to be considered are required to submit SF-254s and SF-255s.
Responses to this synopsis must be received in this office no later
than COB on 30 August 1995. All SF-254s and SF-255s delivered by means
other than the postal service should be addressed to the Contracting
Officer, Civil Engineering Unit, U.S. Coast Guard. FBUSPO&CH, 709 w.
9th St., Room 817, Juneau, Alaska 99802-1747 and received by the above
date. No other notification of this project will be made to firms.
