This announcement is issued to identify capable Indian-ownd firms for an acquisition considered for set-aside under the Buy Indian Act. Interested Indian-owned firms should indicate interest in this acquisition by providing the contracting officer evidence of their capability to perform no later than August 4, 1995. The agency is considering a solicitation for consulting services for analysis of claims and contractor requests for equitable adjustment under a contract for construction of an Indian Health Service hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. The contract value is approximately $100 million and construction is near 70 percent complete with completion estimated for fall 1996. The work would entail development of an as-built schedule and a ``but-for'' computer network model; identification and evaluation of the impact of changes and unanticipated events which have occurred on the project; and preparation of exhibits and reports to support settlement negotiation and litigation. The consultant must be a registered professional engineer or architect; experienced in hospital construction project management; experienced in claims consulting to both owners and contractors; able to qualify as an expert witness. The selection will be made on a combination of technical and price factors with price being less important than technical qualifications. (198)
