PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Work includes complete removal of existing wood, windows and overhead doors and replacement with new aluminum windows and doors; complete removal of existing hollow metal doors and frames and replacement wit new hollow metal doors and frames using new hardware; providing a complete HVAC split system with related electrical work and electrical work related to fans and operating louvers; incidental work. Existing windows and doors have existing lead containing paint. Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Pursuant to PL 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this solicitation is classifed as unrestricted. The proposed solicitation listed here is being considered for 100% set aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but not later than 10 days from the date this notice first appears, indicate interest inthe acquisition by providing to the contracting office above, evidence of capability to peform, including performance and credit references, former contracts of similar size and complexity, and a positive state of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without furthr notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all interested parties as well as from SDB concerns. Requests for copies of this proposed procurement should be submitted IN WRITING, state the solicitation number and provide complete name, address, phone number and business size of the requestor. Additionally, requestors should indicate whether they intend to bid as a prime contractor, subcontractor or supplier. TELEPHONE and TELEFAX requests for copies of the solicitation or bidders' lists WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Requests should be received as soon as possible in order to facilitate mailing of same, to the extent copies are available, directly to the inquirer at time of issuance.
