Launiupoko Shore Protection Project, Maui, Hawaii. This solicitation is unrestricted. The work consists of the construction of shore protection revetment for two reaches totaling approximately 650 feet of shoreline fronting the Honoapliilani Highway north of Launiupoko Wayside Park at Launiupoko, Maui. The revetment is to be constructed using a single layer of 1,600- to 2,500-pound armor stones on a 2-horizontal to 1-vertical side slope, with a crest elevation of +15 feet Mean Sea Level datum, and a two-foot-thick underlayer section consisting of 50- to 150-pound stones on top of geotextile filter cloth. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $1 million and $5 million. Solicitation to be issued O/A August 10, 1995. Documents to be available at $19.00 per set of specifications and full-size drawings. Single copies of specifications alone may be purchased by interested applicants for $12.00.
