Equipment Engineering at the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command
(ATCOM) is seeking to update previous market survey information on
potential HDSB candidates for acquisition by the U.S. Army. The HDSB
candidate has the following characteristics: deployable from a U.S.
Army HEMTT or PLS truck; Military Class Load (MLC) 96-100 wheeled and
70-80 tracked over a 40 meter span without intermediate, pier, or other
supports; emplaced by a crew of 14 soldiers in 30-90 minutes in
daylight conditions; emplaced by a crew of soldiers in adverse
conditions in 40-120 minutes; night assembly must not exceed 45-145
minutes; maximum of 7 transporters required for one bridge set; width
of 4.0-4.5 meters; capable of emplacement on 10% slopes out to 30
meters; contain vehicle traffic counters that can distinguish between
MLC 96 wheeled and MLC 70 tracked traffic. Responses, including and
