Contract Specialist, (202) 324-2278. The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) has a requirement for one hundred and fifty (150)
fingerprint file cabinets with 4 drawers for fingerprint cards. The
contract to be awarded as a result of this solicitation will contain an
option clause for the purchase of an additional one hundred and fifty
(150) cabinets over the next two years. If exercised, the option would
be for a minimum quantity of 75 each time. Each drawer shall contain
3 compartments with a filing compressor in each compartment and a
bottom ball bearing progressive slide. The cabinets are to be furnished
in accordance with the terms and conditions of Invitation for Bid
(IFB)-6857. The award will be based on the availability of funds and
the continuing need of the Government. IFB-6857 will be released
approximately 7/26/95. Requests for the package must be in writing
referencing IFB-6857, addressed to the attention of the Contracting
Officer listed above and be postmarked no later than 15 calendar days
from the date of publication of this synopsis in the CBD. Telephone
requests will not be honored. Any request postmarked after the 15 days
will be subject to the availability of the solicitation package.
