Harrington, Contract Specialist, (508)651-4026 The U.S. Army Soldier
Systems Command (SSCOM), Acquisition Directorate, will be procuring up
to a maximum total quantity of 131,000 Vapor Permeable Bivouac (Bivy)
Covers for Modular Sleeping Bags. There will be a base quantity of
16,000 with OPTION quantities of OPTION 1: maximum of 25,000, OPTION 2:
maximum of 50,000, OPTION3: maximum of 25,000, OPTION 4: maximum of
15,000. The Bivy Covers will be used as a shelter/sleeping system in
moderate temperatures, or as a component of the Modular Sleeping Bag as
a waterproof, windproof, camouflage outer covering. A First Article
Test (FAT)on the first production of the bivy covers will be conducted.
A Technical Data Review Report due at time of FAT, and Contractor
Progress, Status, and Management Reports will be required. The
performance period for this requirement will be monthly during the
conduct of the contract. The contractor shall use Government Furnished
Materials consisting of Patterns, Commercial Item Description, and
sample Modular Sleeping Bags, and Contractor procured items. The
initial base quantity will be due 210 days after award, OPTION 1 due
330 days after award, OPTION 2 due 450 days after award, OPTION 3 due
330 days after award, OPTION 4 due 210 days after award. Delivery will
be F.O.B. multiple domestic and international destinations, and
multiple quantities. Firms desiring a copy of the solicitation package
must submit their request in writing. Firms responding shall indicate
whether or not they are a small or small disadvantaged business
concern on their response hereto. The size standard for small business
