The U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (USACERL), Land Management Laboratory, requires research services in the following areas: (1) Historic Preservation Compliance; (2) Historic Preservaton Planning; (3) Technical Transfer; (4) Archeological Survey and Evaluation; and Predictive Modelling. Examples of the work requested may include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Background research of courthouse records, historical and archival literature, professional journal, and National Register Nomination forms for the purspose of evaluation of archeological sites in terms of the National Register of Historic Places Criteria and preparation of the national Register Nominations; (2) perform archaeologically oriented geomorphology and paleoenvironmental reconstruction as it applies to the location and interpretation of prehistoric archeological sites, including but not limited to: soils pedology, sedimentology, fluvial geomorphology, palynology, archeobotany, absolute and relative dating techniques chemical and stable isotope analyses and other analytical techniques relevant to paleoenvironmental reconstruction and geomorphology; and (3) perform archeological reconnaissance and site testing. The Contracts office intends to award a firm fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for a base year with two (2) additional one (1) year options. Multiple awards may be made from this solicitation. Awards may be made for one (1) line item or combination of line items. All responsible sources capable of providing the services requested are encouraged to submit a proposal.
