Carroll Phone: (615) 751-3364 TVA is conducting a technology evaluation survey for ONDCP/CTAC, representing the Executive Office of the President, on behalf of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and is seeking interested vendors or parties with functional destruction hardware systems or prototypes to efficiently and cost effectively destroy large amounts of seized drugs - mainly cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. Other law enforcement agencies would be interested in this study. These seized drugs are packaged in a variety of containers and materials including, for example, suitcases, plastic, metal, etc. The DEA is seeking state-of-the-art technology suitable for destroying hundreds of thousands of pounds per year of seized illicit substances. Drug destruction technology attributes of particular interest to the DEA are: 1) conformance with applicable Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, 2) transportability, 3) hardware acquisition costs, and 4) labor costs. Vendors may be requested to participate in a feasibility demonstration of their drug destruction technology. While this advertisement is NOT a Request For Proposal (RFP), TVA/ONDCP reserves the right to issue a RFP to qualifying respondees if a decision is made to purchase hardware and/or services. Responsible sources with functional hardware systems or prototypes should send four(4) copies relevant descriptions of their systems and capabilities to J. D.
