R -- IOWA HILL CADASTRAL SURVEY Due 081595. POC Kathy Griffin 916/622-5061. Professional land surveying services are require for the sectional breakdown of three sections, control survey of 9 miles, maintenance of 20 corners, corner search of 17 corners, marking and posting of 7.25 miles of property boundary, monumentation of 12 corners, and filing of both Records of Survey and County Corner Records. This project must be done under the supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor licensed to practice in the State of California. The work will be located in the Iowa Hill area of the Eldorado National Forest. Estimated start date is September 15, 1995. Contract Time is 150 days. Firms having a current (1995) SF-254 on file with the Eldorado National Forest need not file again, but must submit a completed SF-255 by August 15, 1995, C.O.B., to the Eldorado National Forest, 100 Forni Road, Placerville, CA 95667, Attn: Kathryn Griffin. All other firms should also complete the SF-254. Firms will be evaluated, in descending order, on: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services. (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required. Firms that demonstrate technical competence and experience completing projects SIMILAR to the type of work solicited herein will be given greater consideration. (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time. Firms providing evidence of commitment and ability to assign clearly sufficient, highly skilled personnel to accomplish the work within the specified time will be given greater consideration. (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules. Greater consideration will be given to firms demonstrating that previous SIMILAR projects have been completed to high quality standards within time requirements. (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; given the nature and size of the project. Firms demonstrating knowledge of, and experience working in, the central Sierra Nevada mountains performing similar services will be given greater consideration. (6) The volume of work previously awarded by the Forest Service will be evaluated with the objective of effecting an equitable distribution of the contracts among qualified A & E firms, including minority, 8(A), or small disadvantaged firms that have not had prior Forest Service contracts. (7) Additional points may be assigned or credit given to potential contractors that are or will subcontract with certified 8(A) or other small disadvantaged business.
